Privacy
Walkie is built to keep your screen, your voice, and your work on your own Mac. Here's exactly what that means.
Everything runs on-device
Recording, transcription, and bundling all happen locally on your Mac. Walkie does not require an API key to record a review, and it does not need an internet connection to work.
No uploads by default
Walkie does not upload your recordings, transcripts, or bundles anywhere. The files it creates — the video, the transcript, the pointed frames, the REVIEW.md — stay on your disk unless you choose to move or share them yourself, for example by handing a bundle to your coding agent.
No telemetry
Walkie does not phone home. We don't collect usage analytics, crash reports, or any other telemetry from the app by default. Privacy isn't a setting you have to find — it's the default, because it's part of what Walkie is for.
What licensing needs
Activating a purchased licence talks to our payment processor to verify your key. That's the one network call Walkie makes on your behalf, and it's limited to what's needed to activate the app you paid for.
